Precision Welding & Fabrication Division

Our welding/fabrication division is top tier. AED has some of the most highly trained, experienced welders and fabricators in the industry. Our welders hold numerous certifications. If a customer has a welding certification requirement that in not prequalified (a weld technique not previously certified) we have the capability to do prequalification and gain the certification(s). Our welding/fabrication division has large amounts of custom fixturing to handle any size job. Our welding staff is equipped with the latest in digital-inverter TIG and MIG welding machines. Our welders specialize in:

• UHV (ultra high vacuum) qualified weld
• Structural strength welds
• Aluminum, stainless steel, carbon steel, exotic alloy
• Material from 0.005 inch – 4.00 inch plus
• CNC hermetic seal laser welding and drilling

Our fabrication department has some unique machines with capability of handling large capacities coupled with precision.

• Water jet; high precision linear drive motors on a true gantry; 6’ X 12’ range of motion
• 150-ton 6-axis CNC press brake; high precision ram repeatability 300-ton flattening press
• Time saver; 35” wide capability; pneumatically oscillating belt tracking system; ability to take 0.001” cutting pass.
• Large-capacity band saws; 14” 90-deg. cut width; auto-feeding Deburring machine; four-foot long part capacity
