Engineering Department

AED offers a full-service engineering department. Our team uses the latest in computer-aided drafting and solid modeling software such as, SolidWorks and AutoCAD Inventor. Our on-staff mechanical engineers and designers bring to the table many years of precision design and blue print work. Some of the many services our engineering staff may offer are:

• Conversion of customer-provided solid models into manufacturing prints

• Professional feedback on customer-provided designs

• Innovative solutions to customers’ design or process problems

• Initial design work based on customers’ concepts and specifications.

• Finite element analysis using SolidWorks Simulation software

Our CNC programmers use the latest in computer aided machining software such as SolidCAM and MasterCAM. Our machine programmers are attached to our engineering department and work out of the same office. We do this to foster a close relationship between the engineers and the programmers. This allows for substantial mitigation of mistakes and brings scrap rates far below industry standards, thus reducing costs.
